IDAHO IN PERSON
OUR FAVORITE CITIES AND TOWNS
Boise
The State's capitol is one of the fastest growing cities in America. Every year tens of thousands of people from states like California and New York are moving to the city because of the affordable living and amazing location. Many locals don't like the influx of traffic and growth, but others see it as an opportunity for Boise to show its full potential. The city is becoming a hub for technology with large companies like Hewlett Packard and Micron located there. It is also becoming a center for restaurants and bars, with a great night life and college town feel. If you are looking to relocated to Boise, we recommend you look fast with Zillow. The houses sell quick!
Coeur d'Alene
Coeur d' Alene is located in the panhandle of Idaho and has the perfect amount of northwest charm. Nestled in the middle of a National Forrest, the city is known for its amazing views around the local lake, with world class golf courses, picnic areas, and beaches. We could show you some pictures of the city and lake, but we think Juliana Hough's wedding photos do the area the justice. Check out People's gallery of the aesthetically pleasing wedding!
McCall
Located just about two hours north of Boise, McCall is a small tourist town known for their skiing, boating, and camping. City locals love to flock to McCall for the weekends year round. The town's population is just above 3,000 year round residents. But during large events like the McCall Winter Festival, over 60,000 people come to the town to visit. Much of the industry around the town is centered around tourism, which makes it the perfect weekend getaway!
Sun Valley
Sun Valley is another mountain town that is a large tourist attraction in the state. The city is in a fairly isolated area of the state but is surrounded by the Sawtooth Mountains. Sun Valley came to be when the Union Pacific Hired a scout to find the the best area for a world class ski resort, and Sun Valley was their best pick. When the resort opened in the 1940's, it was known as "America's First Destination Ski Resort," and famous figures like Ernest Hemmingway flocked to he area. Today Sun Valley remains a famous destination for visitors all over the world.
